I’m nearly seven months pregnant and am now working on getting the nursery into shape. It’s a mid-sized room in a very old cottage so I’m working with wonky floors and very low ceilings.
As you can see I’ve started off with a blank white canvas and I’ve added various wall decorations that have been handed down to me from friends’ nurseries and I have a Mokee print that will be put up soon. I’m also using my wedding bunting as a decoration. If you’ve read my previous blogs, you’ll know that I’m working with a woodlands/animal theme with lots of earthy greens, beiges and blue. This is because I don’t know the gender and green is my favourite colour.
Furniture wise, I’m using two old chest of drawers; one I’ve upcycled into a new dirty white colour and the other is a very old Made.com cabinet that I’m using to house nappies, blankets etc. I love a nice basket so I have these placed on top full of things that I’ll need quickly- nappies, wipes, muslins etc…. Mokee also has some gorgeous Seagrass Baskets which I’ll be using to store toys.
I’ll be getting a day bed added to the room where I can sit and nurse but I’ve also order Mokee’s nursing chair which will be really comfortable for late night feeds.
As you can see I have lots of Mokee deliveries to unwrap and put together, so my next post will show you how the Mokee products will fit into the nursery and I’m aiming to have the cot put together by the end of May.
